veet infini’silk pro review

Veet Infini’Silk Pro is the best home IPL hair removal products

Both veet unfini silk and Both veet unfini silk pro these two models are based on IPL(Intense Pulsed Light), this is not real laser, if you are looking for a home use laser hair removal product, you can have tria 4x a try. IPL is not real laser, laser have fixed wave length, but they worked the same way, they use the heat to damage hair from root, to prevent it from re-growth. Actually IPL is less hurt than laser. Both of them are effective, I will explain more on the difference between them later.

Briefly,Veet Infini’Silk is NOT suitable for you if

1: You have a naturally dark skin complexion.

2: Your body hair is white, grey, red, or blond.

3: You have any abnormal health conditions such as pilepsy, diabetes, a history of skin cancer or potential skin malignancies, or an active implant

4. Don’t use Veet Infini’Silk on body areas where: You have dark brown, or black spots, a tattoo, or permanent makeup You have any abnormal skin condition like scars, open wounds, etc.

5. Temporarily don’t use  Veet Infini’Silk while: Your skin is tanned or exposed to strong sunlight (including artificial tanning) in the past 28 days You are pregnant or nursing Your skin was treated with a physician prescribed drug within the past 3 months You have received radiation therapy, chemotherapy treatments or on a steroid regimen within the past 3 months

If any of the above apply to you, please refer to the user manual for more details. So veet infini silk pro is not suitable for everyone, so what’s the standard, do I suitable for this hair removal products, is it safe?  or permanent? and is it easy to use at home?

What is ipl? Is it effective for hair removal?

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology has been in use for more than 20 years and is one of the most effective technologies for long-lasting hair reduction. It utilizes a broad spectrum of light with filters to block out lower and higher frequencies of light, such as ultraviolet, that are unnecessary for hair removal treatments. The light is applied using pulses or bursts of energy.

Intense pulsed light technology works by targeting the pigmented cells within the hair shaft. It delivers short bursts of light directly into hair follicles to stop new hair growth at the root. The number of treatments necessary to achieve permanent hair reduction varies by individual, according to skin color, hair color and type, and other biological factors. Most people start seeing permanent results after 4–5 treatments.
how does ipl work

Is Ipl permanent hair removal?

The official site claims Veet Infini’Sil  is intended to affect permanent hair reduction—a long-term, stable reduction in the number of hairs re-growing after a complete treatment regimen. Most people will start seeing results after 4–5 treatments, and can achieve permanent hair reduction after about 10 treatments. I reviewed the comment on amazon customers and have to say, for most people yes they are, but not permanent , maybe as long as 2-3 years, it depends on your skin type, your hair density. Laser may takes longer time, but it’s more expensive and more hurt, just depends on your choice.

Which skin / hair types can use intense light technology?

Intense pulsed light technology is most effective with the highest contrast between skin and hair color, so people with very light skin and very dark hair will experience the best results. Black and dark brown hairs on light skin tones respond the best. Intense pulsed light technology is not suitable for naturally darker skin tones or deeply tanned skin.  Some one may ask is it safe? will it hurt me if I don’t use it correctly

Just have a glossary impression on Veet Infini’Silk Pro, next we will review how to use this model

How to use Veet Infini’Silk Pro correctly

(1) Prep

Before using your Infini’Silk device, prepare the treatment area by shaving unwanted hair. This will ensure that the light pulses can reach the hair follicle—and that you get great results.

NOTE: Waxing is not a suitable pre-treatment, because the hair follicle must remain in order for the treatment to be effective.

(2) Power up

Plug in your Infini’Sil  device and press the “ON/STBY” button. When you plug it in, you will hear a sound similar to your hair dryer, and a green light will turn on. After you press the ON/STBY button, an orange light will turn on. For best results, start at the lowest energy level (1) and increase to the highest level that feels comfortable for you.

(3) Pulse

Apply the rectangular area of the lamp to the treatment area and press the pulse trigger as you slowly move the device across your skin. Repeat on other treatment areas as necessary.

Use only on appropriate skin types and always consult the user manual prior to use.

(4) Permanent Hair Reduction

Most people will start seeing results after 4–5 treatments, and can achieve permanent hair reduction after about 10 treatments with Infini’Silk™ PRO! It’s time to say goodbye to pricey salon treatments, and hello to a lifetime of silky-smooth skin.ant

Important tip, Before your session, prepare your skin by shaving the unwanted hair in the treatment area. some customer on amazon complain it doesn’t work, but the root cause is they don’t shave the thick hair firstly.

Veet Infini’Silk VS Veet Infini’Silk Prosafe to use in ipl

As I briefly mentioned above, both machines use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, a very common system in several IPL hair removal clinics.

There are some significant differences between the two Infini’silk devices.

The biggest difference is the size of the treatment area. The Infini’silk PRO has a treatment area about 1/3 LARGER than the Infini’silk model. This may not seem like much, but if you are treating large areas of your body, this extra size makes a big difference in treatment times, i.e. The Infini’silk PRO will take you only 20 minutes to do a lower leg, while the Infini’silk will take 30 minutes to do the same area.

The second big difference is that the PRO model has a replaceable bulb that lasts 5,000 pulses and the smaller Infini’silk bulb can not be replaced, but lasts 50,000 pulses. Keep in mind that the smaller unit has a smaller treatment area so it will need 3 pulses to cover the same area as 2 pulses from the PRO model.

Otherwise, the units function the same way. They look different and are sized differently, but the wavelength, power and pulse duration are the same. I prefer the larger PRO model because the larger treatment area saves me time, but if you are only treating small areas like face, underarms, bikini line, etc. the Infini’silk is more than adequate.

Veet Infini’Silk Pro VS Tria 4X

I went through a couple of years worth of monthly treatments on several areas of my body with IPL exclusively (same technology as the Infini’silk devices).

I had a wonderful, highly trained technician with multiple training certifications and significant experience with a state of the art machine. The areas I had treated with IPL lost about 70-90% of the existing hair and kept it that way for about 2 years. Slowly the hair grew back in to about 50% over the course of the next 3-4 years and then stayed that way.

Alternatively, the areas that I had professionally treated with true lasers (same technology as Tria device) have remained nearly hair free for the duration of my post treatment years (7-15 years depending on when the treatments were performed).

So I had “superior” results with true Laser hair removal and “good” results with IPL. If I was going back to a Med Spa for treatment, I would not do IPL again, but for home use, Yes. The advantages of the Infini’silk for large and hard to see areas are acceptable trade offs for me.

If you are looking for a home permanent hair removal product(2 or 3 years), we would recommend Veet Infini’Silk or her pro version, it’s effective, easy to use, no pain and cheap. But if you are looking for a very long lasting (6 years+), we recommend Tria 4x, these two models are also the best seller for ipl and home laser on amazon. We don’t recommend you goes to spa for treatment, their equipment are very old , and hard to operate,  and price are very high also.
